Geoff was admitted as a solicitor in 1981 in NSW, commencing work at Jack Woodward & Partners in Coolangatta in 1982. He remained a partner at the firm from 1984 until it disbanded in 1997, before opening his independent practice. Geoff is on the pro-bono list for the NSW Cancer Council and has been the Honorary Solicitor for the Coolangatta/Tweed Heads Legacy for over 30 years, assisting war widows and returned servicemen. Geoff was the president and secretary of the Tweed Rugby Club for 10 years and the president of the Palm Beach Touch Football Club for 7 years. He also served as a member of the committee and as treasurer of the P&F of Somerset College for 7 years. |
As an avid bicycle rider, Geoff has participated in many fundraising bicycle rides including the Ride to Conquer Cancer twice and raised in excess of $50,000 for cancer research.
Tom Williams
Tom, Geoff’s son, joined Geoff Williams & Associates in 2014. He was admitted as a Solicitor in 2008 after achieving degrees in both Law (Hons) and Business. Tom worked at a large Gold Coast-based firm for 6 years where he gained valuable experience. Now practicing in a wide range of areas in both QLD and NSW, Tom’s specialist areas include leasing, property development, residential and commercial conveyancing, business sales and acquisitions, and wills and deceased estates. As a keen sportsman, Tom enjoys rugby union, surfing and golf. He has played rugby union at the Palm Beach Currumbin Rugby Club for the past 17 years and has been the secretary of the rugby committee, part of the leadership group, and club captain for many years. In 2014, Tom was the A-grade captain and coach and also assisted in coaching junior teams. He has also played for the Queensland Country Representative team for several years.
